Last Thursday, Burj Al-Luqluq implemented its sixth recreational open day for the Play and Learn project, in which it targeted nearly 500 boys and girls from the main areas of Jerusalem “the Old City, Jabel Mukaber, Shuafat Camp, Silwan, and Al-Issawiya”.
The open day included the participation of 10 different Jerusalem clubs, “Youth Social Center, Al-Issawiya Club, Silwan Club, Al-Ansar Club, Al-Bustan Association – Silwan, Al-Mukaber Club and School, Al-Asimah Club, Dallasal Al-Quds Club, Abnaa Al-Quds Club, and Burj Al-Luqluq Association).
The open day included several activities, the largest of which were athletes, a football league, and another basketball for girls, in addition to art workshops and painting murals, and finally a ceramics workshop and another workshop to show a virtual reality movie in the computer lab in the association.
The Burj Al-Luqluq basketball team of people of determination also took part in the chairs, and the day ended with honoring the teams and clubs, taking part in the league, and distributing cups and medals.
This project aims to help children in the aforementioned areas and improve their living conditions, by providing several sports, educational and legal training, especially in the absence of centers and associations in these areas to embrace them and provide them with these needs.
